LMU IEC successful application to Stifterverband's funding program "Transformative Skills for Sustainability"

11.07.2023

We are one of 20 universities that have been accepted by the Stifterverband's "Transformative Skills for Sustainability" funding program!

Congratulations to our team for their successfully submitted application and acceptance into the Stifterverband's funding “Transformative Skills for Sustainability”. With this success, they secure a place in the community of practice in which practical implementations will be discussed and implemented over the coming months on how, among other things, sustainability skills can be strengthened through the teaching of entrepreneurial thinking and action. The application is coordinated by a team of visionary experts including
Dr. Barbara Wolf, Viktoria Unger, and Prof. Dr. Ali Aslan Gümüsay. Our team is particularly proud of the support of LMU Vice President for Studies, Prof. Dr. Oliver Jahraus.

The initiators of the funding program are the Stifterverband, the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung and the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt. Further information can be found here: https://www.stifterverband.org/pressemitteilungen/2023_06_07_transformative_skills_fuer_nachhaltigkeit

By combining excellent research with practical applications, LMU is empowering their students to become impact entrepreneurs, equipped with the skills to address challenges in business, society, environment, and culture. They are fostering a deep understanding of sustainability and guiding students to identify and seize opportunities for a more sustainable future.

Congratulations to LMU for their dedication to innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability!

We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will create in our rapidly changing world.
