Curriculum Vitae

Dominik Battiste Domnik studied Business and Economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, and received his PhD from St.Gallen and the Stockholm School of Economics.
He worked for a Swiss family office when he was asked to lead MyHandicap Foundation as CEO. The foundation pursues the goal of improving the living conditions of people who are significantly impaired and as such set up the Center for Disability and Integration (CDI-HSG) at the University of St.Gallen under Dominik’s leadership. Later Dominik co-founded the Zurich-based Social Entrepreneurship Initiative & Foundation (seif), a capacity building and consulting organization for social ventures. Dominik was social entrepreneur in residence with the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt and sat on the advisory board of the Global Social Entrepreneurship Network (GSEN).
Before joining LMU IEC he held varoius roles at the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie (SEA), most recently as a member of the executive board. SEA is a joint initiative by the four university-based entrepreneurship centres in Munich. It runs acceleration and trans-sectoral qualification programs and has emerged as a leading competence center for societal change.
Dominik served on numerous juries and boards of (social) entrepreneurship competitions or research committees and is a senior lecturer for social finance, organizational behaviour, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
